ECS AGM 2008 ~ Greenville, South Carolina
As you all know, our Chief Margaret, will be the honored guest at the Greenville games this coming June.
I finally got some information from the Games Committee last Saturday which I want to share with you. Please don't
hesitate to forward it to your membership. Two other Chiefs will also be present, but are not being honored in the
same way as Margaret.
Please support the ECS and attend these games. Let us "out do" the showing at Glasgow! The basic itinerary
for games is listed below:
Friday, June 6th 2008
4:00 p.m. Sponsors' gathering.
5:30 p.m. Line up for Down Town Parade which starts at 6:00 p.m.
Margaret will ride in an automobile and members of the Elliot Clan
will march behind.
6:00 p.m. Down Town Parade
7:00 p.m. Calling of the Clans Reception at the Ballroom of the
Westin Poinsett Hotel. The Ceildh will also be held in the
same hotel.
Saturday, June 7th 2008
08:30 a.m. The games open at beautiful Furman University.
The time of the Opening Ceremony and Parade of Tartans plus the
Closing Ceremony is still to be determined (check website below).
06:30 p.m. The Elliot Society Clan dinner. Janet Danforth
is handling this and will get back to me with more details within
the next month or two.

The New Hampshire Highland Games are the largest Scottish cultural festival in the Northeast. These games will be held over 3 days(Friday, Saturday and Sunday)at Loon Mountain Ski Resort, Lincoln, NH.

January 13th, 2007 The 24th Annual Southeast Florida Scottish Festival & Games will be held on Saturday, January 13th, 2007 at the Fort Lauderdale Stadium and Events Site.

The ECS USA Michigan Commissioner, Robert Bruce Elliott will be at the following games during 2008:
August 2nd, 2008. Each year the Elliot Clan is very proud to take part in North America's Oldest Continuous Highland Games. St. Andrew's Society of Detroit, which was founded in 1849, is a benevolent organization dedicated to preserving Scottish heritage through its literature, customs, music, dance, and dress. This year the 158th Annual Highland Games, will be presented at Historic Greenmead, Livonia, on Saturday, August 4th, 2007.

The ECS Colorado Commissioner, Linda Fegley will represent the Elliot Clan the following games during 2008:
August 9th - 10h, 2008 Colorado Scottish Festival and Rocky Mountain Highland Games - at Highlands Ranch, Colorado
September 4th - 7th, 2008 Longs Peak Scottish/Irish Festival and Highland Games, will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, at Estes Park, CO. These games are always held the weekend after Labor Day. Visit the Elliot booth March with the Elliots in the parade on Saturday morning, September 8th.
